Clicker training is a humane, non-corrective type of dog training that involves catching your dog doing something right,

rather than 'correcting' or punishing the dog for doing what you don't want.  Owners are encouraged to begin training as

early as possible to avoid the most common problems that develop through lack of training or miscommunication.

Puppies can begin training as early as 6 weeks old.

Clicker training is fast, effective, and easy to fit into your day because training is done for 1-2 minutes

at a time, several times per day.

minutes, with a required follow-up with you.  Typical behavior issues that can be addressed include barking, jumping,

nipping, leash pulling, and some dog and people reactivity.

Polished Pooch:

Polished Pooch class focuses on polishing dog and handler skills by adding more distractions and increasing duration on

basic manners.  Each week, the level of difficulty will increase as dogs learn to respond more quickly.  There is emphasis

on Emergency Down/Stay, Drop It and conditioning dogs to accepting handling by children and strangers.  Part of this

course is taught outdoors.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Basic Manners course.

This course runs 6 weeks, with each session running approx. 1 hour, 15 mins.

Reactive Rover:

Dogs who lunge, bark or show aggression to other dogs, or people, are called dog-reactive or people-reactive.

Reactive Rover class focuses on modifying the behavior of these dogs using a combination of classical conditioning

and operant conditioning techniques designed to change the underlying emotional response to outward stimuli.

Please call to discuss your dog's behavior.

Single Session Model:

Don't have the flexibility to fit in a six-week class?  This choice offers the convenience of having just one session, in

your home, lasting approximately 3.5 hours.  During this time, we will train you to train your dog!

Clickers, treat pouch and treats are included.  Other equipment can be provided, if necessary (i.e., harnesses,

leads, Gentle Leader, etc.) for additional charge.

Rover's Rates: $250
